COME WITH US ON A JOURNEY
TO AN ELEVATED FOOD EXPERIENCE
We built SoCo in 2010 on an 11-acre horse farm in Wilson County. We served a lot of amazing people, hosted weddings, and ran a b&b—all while taking care of the huge garden, fruit orchard, and a seeming zoo's worth of animals. It was amazing. After a decade, we wanted a change—one with a greater focus on food and service.
While looking for a new location, we fell head-over-heels for the 125-year-old Jones Lee house that was slated for demolition. It needed some TLC, and a relocation. With a ton of help, we got the house on a truck and drove it about ¾ of a mile (and about 5 hours) to a safe location. A year later, and with another ton of amazing help, we opened our newly—and, we think, beautifully—renovated Eastlake Victorian house in Greenville, NC. We kept as much of the original house as possible—siding, railing, windows, wainscoting, floors, and doors—so our guests can see exactly what it was that we fell in love with. What was missing or in need of repair was minimally altered in a style we felt matched the home. The house feels as pleased as we are to finally welcome guests back. |
